What's in my camera bag(s)?

Part of being a photographer is having an unhealthy obsession with camera bags. After trying almost every brand out there, I've settled on Billingham as my everyday carry around and event/wedding photography bags. Here are a few reasons why:

-Easy access to equipment with no velcro!
-Completely waterproof
-Not overpadded, unlike most camera bags out there.
-Removable insert so you can use it as a regular messenger.
-Excellent quality all around. Everything from the fabric to the leather is top notch.

Billinghams have everything you need and nothing you don't. It's easy to over design a bag and add tons of zippers and compartments, but all that does in the end is add weight and encourage you to carry too much stuff. This is all about keeping it simple and minimal.

For wedding and events, I use the slightly larger black Billingham Hadley Pro to hold my Nikon D750, Nikon 24-70mm f2.8 G, Nikon SB-700 flash and a few other small accessories. This may be the best-selling and most versatile bag in Billingham's lineup because it has a little more room to fit a DSLR body with lens attached and it also has a carry handle and back zippered pocket.

For my everyday carry/ still life photography kit, I use the small tan Billingham Hadley is for my Sony A7r, and a few manual lenses. I usually keep the Canon FD 50mm macro with a Novoflex adapter attached to the camera and I bring along a Minolta Rokkor 28mm F2.8, and Minolta 135mm F2.8. I have a bunch of other manual focus lenses but these are the ones I use most often.

Next time I will do a review on the gear that I'm actually carrying!
